Self-host Fireshare on DockHive

Store and share your video game clips and screenshots

Fireshare lets you host your own video and image content and share it with others via public or private links — no third-party services required. Drop videos into a watched folder and Fireshare automatically scans, generates thumbnails, and organizes them into a clean, searchable library with folder support. Great for game clips, screen recordings, screenshots, and home videos. Features include public/private share links, an admin login, automatic video scanning, OpenGraph link previews, and optional GPU transcoding.

Running Fireshare on DockHive

Smallest size

Fireshare needs at least a Micro HivePod (about $2 a month if it runs all the time). Smaller sizes can't be picked for it. It is billed by the hour while it runs, from your plan's included vCPU-hours first, and a stopped pod costs nothing.

Its own HTTPS address

Fireshare gets its own HTTPS address as soon as it's running. You can also serve it on your own domain: add the domain to the pod and the certificate is issued automatically.

Set up at install

The install form asks for one setting before Fireshare starts. Everything else, including passwords other services need, is generated for you.

Your data and backups

Fireshare's data stays on the pod's disk and survives restarts. HivePod backups include all of it, and restoring a backup brings back the same app with the same data.

Questions about hosting Fireshare

How do I self-host Fireshare on DockHive?

Open HivePods → App Marketplace in the DockHive console, pick Fireshare, choose a size and a region and click Install. It runs in its own HivePod at its own HTTPS address, usually in about a minute.

How much does it cost to run Fireshare?

An app pod is billed like any HivePod: by the hour while it runs, from your plan's included vCPU-hours first. Fireshare needs at least a Micro pod, which is about $2 a month if it runs all the time. A stopped pod costs nothing.

Where is my Fireshare data kept?

On the pod's disk, in the region you picked. It survives restarts, HivePod backups include it, and restoring a backup brings back the same app with the same data.

Can I put Fireshare on my own domain?

Yes. Add your domain on the pod's Custom domains card, create the CNAME and TXT records it shows at your DNS provider, and the HTTPS certificate is issued once the domain is verified.

Is Fireshare made by DockHive?

No. Fireshare is an open-source project by its own developers. DockHive's App Marketplace installs and runs it for you.
