- Use path-style addressing; virtual-hosted style (<bucket>.s3.dockhive.io) is not available.
- Static website hosting from a bucket is not available; deploy a static site with App Hosting instead.
- Access is controlled with Hive Buckets access keys and bucket policies rather than IAM users and roles. There is one storage class.

Will my S3 code work with Hive Buckets?
Yes, for the common S3 API. The AWS CLI, boto3, the AWS SDKs, Laravel, Django (django-storages) and rclone work once you set the endpoint, the signing region auto and path-style addressing. Presigned URLs, multipart uploads, versioning, object lock, bucket policies, CORS and lifecycle rules are supported.
Which S3 features are not available?
Virtual-hosted style addressing, static website hosting, storage classes and lifecycle transitions, replication configuration, MFA delete, and IAM users, roles and ARNs as principals. Unsupported operations return the standard S3 NotImplemented error.
How is Hive Buckets priced?
The Free Tier includes 5 GB of storage and 10 GB of downloads a month. The Developer Plan ($3/month) includes 25 GB and the Pro Plan ($15/month) 250 GB, with downloads sharing the plan's bandwidth. Beyond that, storage is $0.02 per GB-month and downloads $0.02 per GB. Uploads are free and there are no request fees.
Is my data safe?
Your files are encrypted and stored across multiple regions, so a whole region can go down without losing data. You choose whether each bucket is private or public, and control access with scoped access keys, bucket policies and presigned URLs.
Which regions have Hive Buckets endpoints?
There is a global endpoint, https://s3.dockhive.io, plus regional endpoints in the United States, Europe (London), Germany, Asia (Singapore), South Africa and Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja). Any endpoint can read and write any bucket.
