DockHive Tunnel
Your localhost, live on the internet.
Expose an app running on your computer at a public HTTPS address, <name>.dockhive.live, signed in with your DockHive account. No port forwarding, no public IP.
$ curl -fsSL https://dockhive.io/tunnel/install.sh | sh then dockhive login and dockhive expose 3000

How it works
Three commands to a public URL.
Install the CLI, sign in once, expose a port. That's the whole setup.
Install
One line on macOS, Linux or Windows. It puts the dockhive CLI on your PATH.
$ curl -fsSL https://dockhive.io/tunnel/install.sh | sh Sign in
Opens your browser to sign in with your DockHive account. No tokens to copy.
$ dockhive login Expose
Pass the port your app listens on. You get a public HTTPS address right away.
$ dockhive expose 3000 On Windows, install from PowerShell with irm https://dockhive.io/tunnel/install.ps1 | iex. Reserved names, regions, running in the background and every flag are in the Tunnel docs.
Built for real traffic
A localhost tunnel that keeps up with your app.
Not just a static page preview. Tunnel carries the traffic your app actually sees, over HTTPS, through a global edge in four regions.
HTTPS everywhere
Every tunnel gets a public address at <name>.dockhive.live, served over HTTPS. No certificates to manage.
Global edge, 4 regions
US, Europe (London), Asia (Singapore) and Africa (Johannesburg). The CLI picks the fastest region for you.
Works with real apps
WebSockets, streaming responses, large uploads and long requests all go through, not just simple pages.
No port forwarding
The CLI dials out from your computer, so there are no router settings to change and no public IP needed.
Automatic reconnect
Wi-Fi drops, laptop sleeps, you switch networks: the tunnel reconnects on its own.
Local dashboard
Open localhost:4040 for a live request log and bandwidth, so you can see exactly what hit your app.
See every request
A live dashboard on your own machine.
While a tunnel runs, localhost:4040 shows a live request log and the bandwidth you're using. Your tunnels also appear in the DockHive console, under Tunnels.

- AF Africa (Johannesburg)
The CLI connects to the fastest region automatically and reconnects if your connection drops.

What is DockHive Tunnel?
DockHive Tunnel exposes an app running on your own computer at a public HTTPS address, https://<name>.dockhive.live. You sign in with your DockHive account and run one command, dockhive expose 3000.
How do I expose localhost?
Install the dockhive CLI with curl -fsSL https://dockhive.io/tunnel/install.sh | sh on macOS or Linux, or irm https://dockhive.io/tunnel/install.ps1 | iex in Windows PowerShell. Run dockhive login to sign in from your browser, then dockhive expose 3000 with the port your app listens on.
Is DockHive Tunnel an ngrok alternative?
Yes. It does the same core job: a localhost tunnel that gives your local server a public HTTPS URL. It is part of your DockHive account, so your tunnels also show up in the DockHive console next to your apps.
Do I need port forwarding or a public IP?
No. The dockhive CLI dials out from your computer to the DockHive edge, so there are no router settings to change and no public IP needed. Every address is served over HTTPS.
Does it work with WebSockets, streaming and webhooks?
Yes. Tunnel carries real app traffic: WebSockets, streaming responses, large uploads and long requests. Point Stripe or GitHub webhooks at your dockhive.live address and watch each request arrive in the local dashboard at http://localhost:4040.
Where does my traffic go?
The DockHive edge runs in four regions: the US, Europe (London), Asia (Singapore) and Africa (Johannesburg). The CLI connects to the fastest region automatically and reconnects on its own if your connection drops.
What does it cost?
The Free Tier includes 1 tunnel with a random name; visitors see a one-time safety notice. The Developer Plan ($3/month) includes 5 tunnels and 3 reserved names, and the Scale Plan 100 tunnels and 50 reserved names. Bandwidth beyond your plan allowance is $0.02 per GB, the same rate as the rest of the platform.
