Cloud hosting in Singapore

Run your apps, databases and dev environments in Singapore, close to people in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Pick Asia (Singapore) when you create something on DockHive and it runs and stays there.

What you can run in Singapore

App Hosting with Drone

Push your code and click Drone: it builds your app and puts it live with HTTPS on <app>.dockhive.app. Every GitHub push redeploys.

Pick the region in the Deployment Region menu when you create the app.

App Hosting with Drone

Managed databases

PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Redis and RabbitMQ with TLS on by default and a firewall that stays closed until you allow your addresses.

Pick the region in the Deployment Region menu when you create the database.

Managed databases

HivePods

A full Linux cloud dev environment in seconds, with a browser terminal, the hivepod CLI and its own name.dockhive.sh address.

Choose the region card when you create the pod, or run hivepod create web1 --region asia.

HivePods

App Marketplace

Install a ready-made open-source app such as WordPress, Ghost, Nextcloud or Uptime Kuma in a HivePod, running at its own HTTPS address in about a minute.

Pick the region when you install the app from HivePods → App Marketplace.

App Marketplace

Hive Realtime

Pusher-compatible live messaging for chat, notifications, presence and dashboards. pusher-js and Laravel Echo work as they are.

Create the app in this region and connect to realtime-asia.dockhive.io.

Hive Realtime

Hive Buckets

S3-compatible object storage for uploads, images and backups. Works with the AWS CLI, boto3, the AWS SDKs, Laravel, Django and rclone.

Make this region the bucket's home and read it from https://s3-asia.dockhive.io.

Hive Buckets

n8n workflow hosting

A private n8n workspace with its own HTTPS address, ready in about a minute, with the owner account secured for you.

Choose the region when you create the workspace.

n8n workflow hosting

DockHive Tunnel

Expose an app running on your own computer at a public HTTPS address on name.dockhive.live, with no port forwarding.

The CLI picks the fastest region on its own, or run dockhive expose 3000 --region asia.

DockHive Tunnel

Not in Singapore: Hive Functions. Create functions in Lagos, Abuja, Frankfurt, Lisbon, Los Angeles instead.

Faster for people near Singapore

Every request has to travel to where your app runs and back. Hosting in Singapore shortens that trip for people in Singapore and Southeast Asia, so pages load and API calls answer sooner than from a region on another continent. Put your app, its database and its storage in the same region and the calls between them stay short too.

Your app address, <name>.dockhive.app, works the same from any region, so you never need a regional hostname. Testing a local app? DockHive Tunnel connects to the fastest region from where you are on its own.

Keep data in Singapore

If you need to keep personal data in Singapore, for example because of Singapore's PDPA, create your resources in Singapore. Here is what stays in the region:

  • Apps, databases, n8n workspaces and HivePods you create in Singapore are stored there, together with their backups, and stay there.
  • A Hive Realtime app created in Singapore lives there; its clients and servers connect to the Singapore host.
  • Hive Buckets is the exception: files are encrypted and stored across multiple regions, so a whole region can go down without losing data. A bucket only has a home region it is fastest to read from.
  • Your account details (email, plan and billing) are kept centrally to run your account.

This is how DockHive stores data, not legal advice. Check what PDPA asks of your app. Details: Data and regions.

Pick Singapore from the CLI or API

In the console, choose Asia (Singapore) in the region menu. From the terminal or the API, the region value is asia:

Region asia
hivepod create web1 --region asia
dockhive expose 3000 --region asia
curl "https://api.dockhive.io/api/v1/databases?region=asia" -H "Authorization: Bearer $DOCKHIVE_API_KEY"

Questions about hosting in Singapore

Which DockHive products can I run in Singapore?

App Hosting with Drone, Managed databases, HivePods, App Marketplace, Hive Realtime, Hive Buckets, n8n workflow hosting and DockHive Tunnel. Hive Functions is not available in Singapore; pick another region for it.

How do I deploy to Singapore?

Pick Asia (Singapore) when you create an app, database, HivePod or workspace in the console. In the CLI and API the region value is asia, for example hivepod create web1 --region asia. A resource stays in the region where you created it.

Will my data stay in Singapore?

Apps, databases, n8n workspaces, HivePods and their backups stay in the region you create them in. Hive Buckets files are stored across multiple regions for durability, and account details are kept centrally. DockHive does not give legal advice, so check what Singapore's PDPA asks of you.

Does my app address change with the region?

No. Your app address (<name>.dockhive.app) works the same wherever the app runs, so you never need a regional hostname for an app.

Do plan limits apply per region?

Plan limits such as the number of apps or HivePods count everything you run across all regions combined. Hive Realtime and Hive Functions allowances are counted in each region separately.

How much does hosting in Singapore cost?

The same as every other region. There is a Free Tier, a Developer Plan at $3/month, a Pro Plan at $15/month and a Scale Plan through sales. Beyond your plan, compute is $2 per vCPU-month, billed by the hour. Plans are priced in US dollars.
