Running Pumperly on DockHive

Smallest size

Pumperly needs at least a Micro HivePod (about $2 a month if it runs all the time). Smaller sizes can't be picked for it. It is billed by the hour while it runs, from your plan's included vCPU-hours first, and a stopped pod costs nothing.

Its database is included

Pumperly comes with PostgreSQL inside the same HivePod, set up for you with its own generated password. Only the app can reach it, and you pay for the pod's size only.

Its own HTTPS address

Pumperly gets its own HTTPS address as soon as it's running. You can also serve it on your own domain: add the domain to the pod and the certificate is issued automatically.

Set up at install

The install form asks for one setting before Pumperly starts. Everything else, including passwords other services need, is generated for you.

Your data and backups

Pumperly's data stays on the pod's disk and survives restarts. HivePod backups include all of it, and restoring a backup brings back the same app with the same data.

Questions about hosting Pumperly

How do I self-host Pumperly on DockHive?

Open HivePods → App Marketplace in the DockHive console, pick Pumperly, choose a size and a region and click Install. It runs in its own HivePod at its own HTTPS address, usually in about a minute.

How much does it cost to run Pumperly?

An app pod is billed like any HivePod: by the hour while it runs, from your plan's included vCPU-hours first. Pumperly needs at least a Micro pod, which is about $2 a month if it runs all the time. A stopped pod costs nothing.

Where is my Pumperly data kept?

On the pod's disk, in the region you picked. It survives restarts, HivePod backups include it, and restoring a backup brings back the same app with the same data.

Do I need a separate database for Pumperly?

No. Pumperly comes with PostgreSQL inside the same HivePod, set up for you. You pay for the pod's size only, nothing extra for the database.

Can I put Pumperly on my own domain?

Yes. Add your domain on the pod's Custom domains card, create the CNAME and TXT records it shows at your DNS provider, and the HTTPS certificate is issued once the domain is verified.

Is Pumperly made by DockHive?

No. Pumperly is an open-source project by its own developers. DockHive's App Marketplace installs and runs it for you.
