Self-host Karakeep on DockHive
The Bookmark Everything App
Karakeep is an open-source, self-hosted bookmark manager for links, notes, images, PDFs, and highlights, built to keep everything you want to save in one place. It automatically fetches titles, descriptions, and previews, then helps you organize your library with AI tagging, full-text search, lists, and rule-based automation. With browser extensions, mobile apps, RSS ingestion, and page archiving, Karakeep works well as both a read-later tool and a durable personal content archive.

Running Karakeep on DockHive
Smallest size
Karakeep needs at least a Small HivePod (about $4 a month if it runs all the time). Smaller sizes can't be picked for it. It is billed by the hour while it runs, from your plan's included vCPU-hours first, and a stopped pod costs nothing. A Small pod needs more than the Free Tier's 1 vCPU, so use the Developer or Pro Plan.
Its own HTTPS address
Karakeep gets its own HTTPS address as soon as it's running. You can also serve it on your own domain: add the domain to the pod and the certificate is issued automatically.
Your data and backups
Karakeep's data stays on the pod's disk and survives restarts. HivePod backups include all of it, and restoring a backup brings back the same app with the same data.

Questions about hosting Karakeep
How do I self-host Karakeep on DockHive?
Open HivePods → App Marketplace in the DockHive console, pick Karakeep, choose a size and a region and click Install. It runs in its own HivePod at its own HTTPS address, usually in about a minute.
How much does it cost to run Karakeep?
An app pod is billed like any HivePod: by the hour while it runs, from your plan's included vCPU-hours first. Karakeep needs at least a Small pod, which is about $4 a month if it runs all the time. A stopped pod costs nothing.
Where is my Karakeep data kept?
On the pod's disk, in the region you picked. It survives restarts, HivePod backups include it, and restoring a backup brings back the same app with the same data.
Can I put Karakeep on my own domain?
Yes. Add your domain on the pod's Custom domains card, create the CNAME and TXT records it shows at your DNS provider, and the HTTPS certificate is issued once the domain is verified.
Is Karakeep made by DockHive?
No. Karakeep is an open-source project by its own developers; see docs.karakeep.app for its documentation. DockHive's App Marketplace installs and runs it for you.
