Self-host Hermes on DockHive
A self-improving AI agent with memory, skills, messaging, and a web dashboard
Hermes Agent is a self-improving AI agent from Nous Research, designed to be a long-running collaborator rather than a one-off chatbot. Its built-in learning loop combines persistent memory, cross-session recall, and reusable skills so it can keep context and improve recurring workflows over time. With a unified gateway, rich toolsets, and a browser-based dashboard, Hermes fits research, automation, cross-platform communication, and ongoing operational work.

Running Hermes on DockHive
Smallest size
Hermes needs at least a Micro HivePod (about $2 a month if it runs all the time). Smaller sizes can't be picked for it. It is billed by the hour while it runs, from your plan's included vCPU-hours first, and a stopped pod costs nothing.
Its own HTTPS address
Hermes gets its own HTTPS address as soon as it's running. You can also serve it on your own domain: add the domain to the pod and the certificate is issued automatically.
Your data and backups
Hermes's data stays on the pod's disk and survives restarts. HivePod backups include all of it, and restoring a backup brings back the same app with the same data.

Questions about hosting Hermes
How do I self-host Hermes on DockHive?
Open HivePods → App Marketplace in the DockHive console, pick Hermes, choose a size and a region and click Install. It runs in its own HivePod at its own HTTPS address, usually in about a minute.
How much does it cost to run Hermes?
An app pod is billed like any HivePod: by the hour while it runs, from your plan's included vCPU-hours first. Hermes needs at least a Micro pod, which is about $2 a month if it runs all the time. A stopped pod costs nothing.
Where is my Hermes data kept?
On the pod's disk, in the region you picked. It survives restarts, HivePod backups include it, and restoring a backup brings back the same app with the same data.
Can I put Hermes on my own domain?
Yes. Add your domain on the pod's Custom domains card, create the CNAME and TXT records it shows at your DNS provider, and the HTTPS certificate is issued once the domain is verified.
Is Hermes made by DockHive?
No. Hermes is an open-source project by its own developers; see hermes-agent.nousresearch.com/docs for its documentation. DockHive's App Marketplace installs and runs it for you.
